Cynosure is the new hardcore raiding guild on Kael'thas(Horde)
We are recruiting all level 80 classes to prepare to begin raiding and gearing up next week.
-We expect to start off with 10mans but this will be a 25man guild.
-We welcome applicants from other servers as well as local players.
We will be raiding 4 days a week. Sunday through Wednesday from 8pm EST to Midnight-1AM EST.
*Everyone will be required to be listening to Ventrilo during raids.
*Everyone will be expected to meet a 80% attendance requirement.
*You must understand all aspects of your character. Including the specs you don't use.
*Members will be expected to play intelligently and perform their best.
*Loot will be done handled by a loot council.
-Loot is distributed toward the best interest as the guild as a whole.
-Loot is not done based on seniority, luck, persistence, performance, greed or favoritism.
-If you show up every night and know how to play your class, loot will come fast.
*There is no gear requirement. Gear can be looted. Dedication, attendance, performance and Intelligence cannot, you will not get much gear without those.
*We will always be working toward the future. We must continue to get better and be ready for upcoming content. If you show up late frequently, miss multiple days without warning, perform less than you're capable, raid intoxicated enough to reduce performance, or we find someone significantly better than you, you may be replaced.
Why would you join?
*If you are sick of family guilds with no goals.
*If you want to surround yourself with players that work to be the best and expect the same from you.
*If you expect leadership to hold people to high standards and to recruit only players that meet them same standards.
*Leadership has 8+ years of experience with high end raiding success(WoW, EQ2, EQ, FFXI and UO) and do not accept mediocrity.

No offense, but if loot distribution has nothing to do with performance or persistance, what characteristics are you trying to reward? I'm confused as to the criteria the loot council will use.
Performance and persistance are two of the things that cause progression to take place, IMO. (Edit, I just realized you said performance both IS a loot characteristic, and IS NOT a loot characteristic...)
And if a loot council is used, I guarantee there will be a smidgen of favoritism....because you give loot to people who attend, are on time, and who perform....(or not, if I read the above correctly...)
good luck!|||performance is an important part of deciding but it isnt the deciding faction. i would consider giving an item to someone how performs better because its benefit will go further but there are cases where someone else for whatever reason, class, spec whatever. Im more of saying, you cant just top the parse and pick everything you want. Same with persistence, showing up is a key part but it isnt what determines anything, i just don't want what can happen with dkp, 1 or 2 people who show up every day taking all the most notable items. imo all loot systems are fair as long as people agree to them, ive been in a lot of very competitive high end raiding guilds and i believe loot council with an unbiased leader is the best for the raid
