The right Guild

[:1]Okay I don't know if this is the correct section but I am looking to join a guild. I am EU playing on the Azuremyst server - Alliance - Level 12 - Feral spec Druid. Can anyone advise best way to find a guild that suits me.|||Most social/leveling guilds do their recruitment through trade, my suggestion is to journey to Darnassus so you see trade, Darnassus should also link you into the guild recruitment channel if its still an option these days. If that one comes up, immediately put that you're looking to be recruited into it.

However, players can rightfully get annoyed if there's a lot of recruitment going on in their trade channel, (The slavery as trade argument doesn't always work well with them) so watch for a bit first to see if anyone is openly recruiting on it. If not, then ask if any one is, occasionally, while you do your other capital city errands.|||Also try the official forums for your server. Yes, I know the official forums are a cesspit generally speaking, however many guilds do advertise there. You could also make a post there yourself and outline what kind of guild you're looking for; someone there may be able to point you in the right direction.

Your first guild is usually what is called a casual/leveling/and or social guild. It's a group of people who play who have come together for company and for the occasional question answered and help for questing and minor instance runs.

As you become more entrenched in the game, you then run into other, more specific and focused guilds... raiding guilds, pvp guilds. These exist to provide a specialized pool of people for these endeavors... you join a raiding guild if you want to raid above a certain level...pvp guild if you're looking for a cutting edge arena team or some kick butt bg premades.

Why join? It's customary to ask basic questions of your leveling/casual/social guild without resorting to forum posts...that way you get a quick answer. There's a certain expectation of at least a minimum level of support from your guild when you run into something over your head, as long as you're not outdistancing them in content. (As in... you can probably ask for Araj the Summoner <elite quest target in Plaguelands> help from your casual guild but you're probably not going to find a fast ICC 25 level tank from it. They're great for support and guidance, and helping you find your way in the game.
